Overview
Set within an open grassland beneath a shifting sky, the project centers on a solitary geometric object resembling an artificial monolith. Its surface gradually changes from dark and opaque to luminous magenta, while particles gather and disperse around it, suggesting an unstable source of energy or transformation.

The scene was developed as a short visual study of an unfamiliar object entering an otherwise natural environment. Rather than explaining its origin, the animation focuses on the moment it begins to activate—rotating, emitting light, and altering the atmosphere around it.

I used an HDRI backdrop to establish the landscape, ambient lighting, and reflections. In Sequencer, I animated the object’s rotation together with material parameters controlling color and emissive intensity. A particle system was added to reinforce the sense of activation and connect the object’s movement with the surrounding space.

The project explores how a simple form can gain narrative presence through coordinated motion, material transformation, lighting, and effects.
